3D - SCULPTURAL WALL TILES

Happell 3D tiles are a versatile range of ceramic relief tiles for interior use. They can be wall mounted in panels, used as decorative room dividers, back drops in office or hotel receptions, as a wall feature in stores, as bar fronts or simply secured to walls and ceilings to create textured areas. They look great in any room and provide a contemporary visual focal point.

There are many of ways to arrange the tiles, which means that your installation can be totally unique.

You can create random or repeat, symmetrical or asymmetrical patterns. This allows endless possibilities for creativity. Due to their standard 6” x 6” size, the tiles can easily be incorporated into tiled surfaces adding another dimension to an otherwise plain wall surface.

WEDGE

The wedge is our most popular tile. Measuring 152mm x 152mm x 42mm, the simplicity of the wedge design can be used to create complex surface reliefs, each one different from the next.

WHO WE ARE

Happell are a design company based in Glasgow, Scotland. Over the years we have designed lighting, furniture, interiors, exhibitions and 3 dimensional sculptural tiles. We’ve been around for 10 years or so, working on all sorts of creative projects.

You may have seen us before; we’ve exhibited at 100% Design, ICFF, Milan Furniture Fair and Designers Block. Our work has also featured in some well-known magazines, newspapers, books and on TV.

We’ve worked with a lot of interesting people along the way. Our clients have included Camper Shoes, Giorgio Armani, Donna Karan, Hussein Chalayan and House of Fraser. We’ve supplied tiles to a number of boutique hotels, bars, restaurants, stores, casinos and offices throughout the UK. We’ve sent our designs over to Jamaica, Canada, USA and France.

Our slip cast 3 dimensional tiles are individually hand made by John in Stoke, England. It’s quite a labour intensive process and that’s why our products cost a little more than mass produced tiles. Once you see them you’ll understand why.

Our tiles are made to order and we tend to supply them with a white glazed finish. If you’d prefer a different colour or finish just let us know and we’ll do our best to make it for you.

We love mid century modern design and our tiles are inspired by the work of Oscar Niemeyer and Pierre Koenig amongst others. Throughout the mid century, tiles were used to decorate a number of interiors and exteriors, to break up and enhance otherwise flat surfaces; they gave a stimulating visual landscape and brought formal wall spaces to life.

Our 3D tiles continue this tradition and the range can be applied in many ways, which means that your installation can be totally unique.
